I've created support, so that with a Custom Attribute you can say that this Property should use a special Editor Definition.

I know I can also use the EditorAttribute, but for this, my UI Types need to be known in the BusinessLayer...

I don't like my impl. at the Moment, but it works.

Maybe someone has a better Idea (or better Code)

Know you can for Example add a Attribute in your DTO:
    [PasswordString]
    public virtual string Password { get; set; }
and in the UI Layer:

I found that deserializing the xml layout adds a long delay to start my application. I have previously submitted an patch to speed this up in avalondock.codeplex.com. But seems it is not applied yet.

Other option available for me is to generate XMLSerializer dll using sgen.exe tool. However it requires the assembly signed key which is not provided with Avalon dock source code. Can you please provide XmlSerializer dll along with avalon dock so that we can load the layout faster.

Hello all!

I am using the datagrid control in a large internal app... I don't need the header in the grid that states "Drag column here to group by column".. Is there a way to get rid of that? Comes in handy a lot of times, but have a use case where its not needed.

I don't want to add to the control, just want to take some elements away ie Colour selection, underline.

Hi,

You can Add this to your Style.Resources, to color the Background of the PropertyItem :
<Style TargetType="{x:Type xctk:PropertyItem}">
               <Setter Property="Background" Value="Green"/>
 </Style>
For the Expander color, it is currently always Black. You will have to modify "GlyphBrush" in :
-Xceed.Wpf.Toolkit/PropertyGrid/Themes/Aero2.NormalColor.xaml.cs (for windows8)
-Xceed.Wpf.Toolkit/PropertyGrid/Themes/Generic.xaml (for windows7)

Issue https://wpftoolkit.codeplex.com/workitem/20755 has been created to be able to customize the Expander Color.

You can create your own FixedHeader, without the GroupByControl( only using ColumnManagerRow here) :

You will have to re-style the RichTextFormatBar by giving it a new ControlTemplate. You can fin the original ControlTemplate in :
-Xceed.Wpf.Toolkit/RichTextFormatBar/Aero2.NormalColor.xaml (windows8)
-Xceed.Wpf.Toolkit/RichTextFormatBar/Generic.xaml (windows7)
under the name : "richTextBoxFormatBarTemplate"
